Pics!

I really like this show; it's great :)) And not to mention addictive. The idea of time travel was what first attracted me to watch the show - and it didn't seem, to me at least, as 'lame' as the other time travel shows being shown recently...

But I find that I prefer the couple pairing of Kevin Cheng & Cecilia (八爷 Ba Ye/Bei Le Ye & 马尔泰·若曦 Ruo Xi) to Nicky Wu & Cecilia (四爷 Si Ye & 若曦 Ruo Xi)... Maybe it's 'cus I am only at the 17th episode - around the time when 八爷 and 若曦 just broke up.....? Haha I don't know. I just like them as a couple better ;(

Ok anw. Pics! :)

Nicky's eating a KFC burger in the pic below! haha

Does anybody think that RuoLan looks a lil' like Phyllis Quek? Or is it just me...?

And I think Cecilia Liu looks a bittt like Liu Yi Fei as well...

Lol so cute!

I think RuoXi looks very pretty wearing red, esp. in this outfit below, which she wore when she was celebrating the 10th Prince's birthday...

A Song To Remember Songs :)

Decided to embed a few songs from A Song To Remember 星洲之夜 here, 'cus they simply sound so, so nice ! ;) I totally couldn't recognise Liu Li Yang's voice - her voice is so versatile ! And so good~.

Basically, the songs sung in the soundtrack/OST are by three singers - Mavis Hee, Jade Liu Li Yang and Xu Yi Qing.

星洲之夜 - Mavis Hee 许美静 (if I'm not wrong, this song was sung by her...)

I especially love this one :) >>>

I like this one below as well... plus the choreography is so cute, haha ! And this video is actually on Youku, omg o.O

And this one below is one of my fav as well... like that kind of old-fashioned song from the past that everyone likes, a very catchy one which no one can stop singing ^^

And this! Super happy song :D

This song is beautiful, too... but I couldn't find the full version on Youtube...

Okay, all in all, I guess I love most of the songs inside A Song To Remember! xD hahaha.

I am not a hardcore channel-8-drama fan, but I think the idea of this whole story setting and musical thingie is great... And yeah, some people dislike channel 8 dramas 'cus of various reasons - I didn't + don't like some of them as well, and I don't watch all of them, but I find that these 9pm dramas are improving and the actors are improving as well.

So... yeah, I will support those I feel are worth watching.. ;) And you gotta admit, even if you don't like the show/cast, the singers and songs are GREAT in this show. So let's not bring them down along with the show(if you don't like it), yeah? ;)

And with that, wish everyone here has a happy Sunday today! :)

A Song To Remember 星洲之夜 OST

I chanced upon this @ Gramophone today - the A Song To Remember Official Soundtrack! Hurray it's out already; i feel like buying it :)

I feel the songs inside the show are super nice, 'cus it's something like a fusion of new and oldie songs, so that both the older and younger generation can enjoy the songs :) And the way they sing them as well - it just makes anyone, regardless of age, want to listen again and again... :)

If I didn't remember incorrectly, this retails at $22.95 (and $19.95 with purchase) @ Gramophone.

Already Famous

Another movie I want to watch! Haha starring the clever-talented-and-pretty Michelle Chong 庄米雪 & (Xiao Gui) Alien 黄鸿升. Sneaks from 24Nov, officially released on 1 Dec ;)

Here's the trailer...

And some interesting behind-the-scenes :)

Here's the song Xiao Gui sang for the movie... Michelle sang a song for the movie as well, I think... but she's singing as her character in the movie, so it's more like a funny song, if you get what I mean... haha.

Read the text in the pic below if you wish to get an autographed poster by Michelle & Alien! Saw this in the newspaper today...

P.S. Channel 8 will be showing the official behind-the-scenes for this movie at 1pm on Sunday! :)

MV - Olivia Ong

Yup, that's right - this is one of the songs featured in The Oath <<行医>>... A beautiful song from Olivia's latest album, Romance :) I want to learn this asap for my upcoming karaoke session! Heheh.

And apparently I saw somewhere that it's the themesong to the movie <<真愛挑日子>> - just realised that it's the Chinese title of the English movie One Day, haha!

Here's the same video, but with larger words/subtitles... so that those interested(like me! haha) will find it easier to learn the song ;)

But don't like Xiao Mei's image with a moustache(or whatever you call it)... :( He's more handsome with a 'clean' look, I feel. :D

The Oath 行医 Themesong (救命) + Videos

Oh yes finally found this video on Youtube!! The 'The Oath' themesong by Anthony Neely :D It's called <<救命>>. This song was specially sung for the show ;)

Like the video itself(without the music) as well - the video creators/editors are pro, man. And yup, as I've said before, I like the way they filmed the whole show also - a bit different from the 'usual' Channel 8 drama way...

The below vids are of Hebe and Anthony Neely Ni An Dong(repectively) talking about their songs in the drama... wow look at Anthony's hair, lol, didn't know he changed to this style! xD

Ok, enough talk from me, shall leave you guys to enjoy the vids! :))

The Oath 行医 (Catch-Up TV)

Love Thy Neighbour ended on Monday... quite a nice & touching last episode.. made me tear in some parts.. ;(

But anw. A new drama is on now and it's not bad! The filming & all is a bit different from the 'usual' way Singapore CH 8 dramas are filmed.. it's a bit more like... CH U's Pai Mai, that kind of filming pattern... and I like~ :))

It's a doctor-ish show, which is cool ^^ and it's also interesting that they chose to combine Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine in the show... And btw they are using some of Hebe's songs in the show as well !

Click to view the first episode of The Oath on XinMSN, which aired yesterday night. It's on every weeknight @ 9pm. :)

I've heard of Hagen Troy before, but never really went to listen to his music 'cus I dislike it when some companies do too much advertising for 'new' & local artistes... you know, those kind who don't break into the Taiwan music industry & are just doing it in Singapore that kinda thing... and where the music videos/photoshoots are just the simple, lower budget kind...

But. Recently while watching Bountiful Blessings 《万福楼》 on Channel 8, I found myself so hooked onto Hagen Troy's songs - he has a great voice, composes catchy songs, and looks quite ok, maybe even above average... I think that many companies are very smart - or if you really want to get down to it, 'sly' - when it comes to advertising, and it's even 'better' if you join hands with Mediacorp, cus u get lots and lots of advertising done; and it's just so clever of them to use Hagen's songs for the WHOLE of the Bountiful Blessings OST..... Like what the Taiwanese did with Autumn's Concerto or what CH8 did for 'Pai Mai', too.

So whether or not it's subconsciously or not, you listen to Hagen Troy's songs over and over again. And guess what, I like it. And so I subscribed to his Youtube channel - showing my first very very sincere and true support for homegrown singers who, like I said, are kind of only based in Singapore that kind... Advertising is really a very powerful thing, and I truly believe, based on how you do it, it's actually.... a form of art, yi men xue wen. No, really.

Okay, enough talking. I know I'm long-winded xD After all that I've said, it's time for you to hear the magic of his songs and you'll understand what I mean. :)
